David A. Young, M.D. began his private practice in Hawaii in 2003 at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. He is consecutively voted one of Hawaii's Best Doctors in Hawaii by HONOLULU Magazine since 2010.

Raised in Hawaii, and a graduate of the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Dr. David Young did his residency at Brown University/ Rhode Island Hospital and his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania/Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

He has served at Chair of the Continuing Medical Education Committee of Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children from 2012 through 2017 and was a member of the Board of Directors of Physicians Exchange of Honolulu, Inc. 2007–2012, and 2014–2019.

 

From the islands.

Dr. Young enjoys playing basketball and kettlebell exercises; he is also a board member of Dojo RITAH, a non-profit organization. He and his wife of 21 years have two sons, aged 19 and 15.
"I grew up here, and my wife's family and mine are here," he says.
"We both knew that even when we went to the mainland for training that we wanted to come back."
